Autistic Photography
My name is Neil G , i'm 29years old.
In my early 20's i was diagnosed with having autism/aspergers and ocd see Autistic Info above for more information. I struggled through school from being bullied and having no goals in my outlook , my school leaving looked grim. It wasn't until i was in my mid 20's that i found my calling. I started doing paranormal investigations and bought a digital rebel xti camera to take photo's of the buildings i was investigating.
As i uploaded them for others to see and i had numorus comments that i had a good eye but my photo's lacked any good processing. I decided to research photography and the different methods of processing , thus began my goal of being a photographer. Over the years my photography has gone from strength to strength , my processing styles have changed and i go out in the country to take that shot that others can see what an autistic person see's. In my late 20's i did my first wedding which considering i was a very reserved,hide away person my photography pushed me to new heights. I've also done storm photography which was an amazing experience , two of the shots appeared on south east today , for an autistic person that gave me such joy.
I now have my own gallery and i'm even selling my photography , finally a goal in life. A goal i thought i'd never have !. So if you have autism and feel there is nowhere to go , get a camera and explore... You never know , one day you maybe a photographer.

Hi neil, your gorgeous mum left me a message about your work on the 'Spirit Guides Network'. one of my sons was showing signs of the condition when very young, and finally found his calling and gifts in music. Im so glad that you found yours, and what a truly amazing gift you have. Stunningly beautiful work, and so deeply inspiring. Came across your website whilst looking at photographic subjects and I'm impressed with your ecclectic tastes and not staying in one subject which can be boring. what beautiful pictures....my children were running round the house until they spotted me looking at your photos.....they all gathered round and for about 15 minutes and were oohhing and ahhing at your fantastic artwork ....well done ....you have a real skill at photography, keep up the good work x
